How to donate to SAFE Wisconsin.

The easiest place to start is by collecting stuffed animals from around your own home you would deem worthy of giving to a child.

We ask that all donation be free of rips, tears, matted hair/fur, and major staining. Since each item is washed or sanitized under UV, we ask that items containing styrofoam beads or are not cuddly be left out of donations. If your items have tags, please leave the tags in place and do not remove them.

Donations can be placed in plastic garbage bags. While we prefer clear bags, this is not required.

What are the most popular plush for kids?

While all plush goes to kids, the organizations we work with have most requested the following:

• Squishmallow
• Disney
• Cartoon Character Plush
• Jellycat
• Aurora, Douglas, Fiesta Brand Animals
• All clean and wonderful plush

Restrictions on Donations.

From time to time, we receive plush that we are unable to give to a child. In many cases, we give those plush to local animal shelters when possible. We understand that donating often comes with an emotional attachment to the items donated, but it is important that these items be inspected before being dropped off to help reserve our limited resources. Please note that we DO NOT accept the following items

• Items with tears or holes.
• Items with matted hair.
• Items missing eyes, nose, tail, or limbs.
• Items that are in visibly poor condition.
• Pillows/Pillow Pets
• Blankets/Clothing
• Plush larger than 24" unless they are character plush.

How to get items to us.

The most cost effective way is to drop off your donations at one of our drop off centers. We have drop off centers available in Caledonia, WI, and Kenosha, WI. We are always on the look out for new drop off locations. If you know of a business or organization that would be interested in accepting donations, let us know!

Caledonia, WI
Our Caledonia location is located at 3721 W 5 Mile Rd, in Caledonia, WI 53108. Items may be dropped off during any daylight hours if assistance is not required. There is a covered donation shed located towards the back of the property.

Oak Creek, WI
Our Oak Creek Drop Off is located inside the Oak Creek Community Center at 8580 S Howell Ave. Hours are
Monday—Wednesday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Thursday, 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Friday, Saturday and Sunday, open during events only

Burlington Area - Rochester, WI
Our Rochester Drop Off is located inside the Riverside Studio - A Crystal Apothecary Shop

Hours are Tues—Sat, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Sunday, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Kenosha, WI
Our Kenosha drop off location is located at a volunteers home. Items can be dropped off between the house and garage during any day during daylight hours. The address is 4304 47th Ave, Kenosha, WI 53144. Please mark "Donations" or "SAFE" on any bags you drop off.

Shipping
If you plan to ship your items to us, you may ship them to the Caledonia address. Shipping can be costly, so it is important that you inspect your donations before sending them to avoid paying to ship items we can't accept.
